Each year, Dietert Center proudly participates in the Subaru Share the Love event, a national partnership with Meals on Wheels America. We work together to raise awareness of Meals on Wheels, and Subaru makes a generous donation from the sale of each vehicle during a specific time period. Last year, Deitert Center received over $3,000!
We also hold an annual pet food drive to "Stuff the Subaru" to respond to the lack of resources available to feed pets. We share these contributions with homebound seniors in need of food for their pets when our volunteer drivers deliver Meals on Wheels and check on our clients each day. Specifically, we ask for dry or canned dog and cat food, kitty litter, or even donations towards Meals on Wheels. We welcome donations of pet food for our homebound seniors receiveing Meals on Wheels year round, and we will keep you posted on the next Subaru Share the Love event.
